Off-shore or Customer-end Managed Services

This involves the remote monitoring and maintenance of your IT network infrastructure. Suntel authorizes a Managed Services engineer to either operate from your premises or visit each location, as agreed upon in the service level agreement. Different ways of providing Customer-end Managed Services enables Suntel to effectively administer solutions to different customers.

VPN Branch Network Management

This allows Suntel engineers to physically maintain the nodes that connect to the IP/VPN. Suntel offers a team of highly specialized engineers to monitor the infrastructure and round-the-clock connectivity for maintenance and management of these services. Suntel’s engineers are part of a trained Managed Services team and are available in decentralized geographical locations to cater to specific needs.

Perimeter IT Infrastructure Management

Suntel as a service provider, will manage, monitor and maintain your perimeter IT infrastructure, which includes the management of the last mile, routers, switches and servers (firewall, AV/SPAM gateway, mail, proxy etc). A dedicated team works 24/7 with remote maintenance systems to monitor the infrastructure. Suntel takes complete control of the entire service and customer intervention is restricted to a minimum.

Suntel's Managed Services staff is trained to provide specific services and is equipped with the right level of technical skills that are required to manage these services. The staff also works closely with Account Managers or Programme Managers to maintain a high level of service.

Customer LAN Management

With this, Suntel will set-up a permanent IT staff at your end to maintain the LAN architecture and layout. These services include maintaining PCs, setting up printers and scanners, mitigating LAN security issues and everything else that falls under the periphery of an IT administrator's role. This service is outsourced to industry specialists in LAN management by implementing strict service level agreements to enable on-time delivery, every time.

On-site or Hosted Managed Services

This includes the consultation, design, implementation and maintenance of the customer's IT network infrastructure from a hosted facility known as the Internet Data Centre. Different ways of providing Hosted Managed Services enables Suntel to cater to specific needs.

Shared Hosting

Also known as virtual hosting, shared hosting offers the most basic and inexpensive solution. With shared hosting, customers can host their websites on one server and share the cost of an Internet connection that's faster and more secure than dial-up connections. Not just that, customers can also tap into a range of services at a low monthly fee.

While shared hosting makes economical sense on one hand, it most often fails to handle large storage systems or heavy web traffic. Besides, little or no flexibility can prove to be a deterrent, unless the customer is a first- time webmaster.

Co-located Hosting

With co-located hosting, customers can enjoy complete control over their server, but will have to take the responsibility of purchasing, configuring and maintaining servers, firewalls, software’s and the operating system.

Setting up and maintaining a co-located server is no mean task. It demands a great deal of time, energy and of course, an in-depth knowledge of IT and IT services. Although it’s not the most preferred solution, it could be ideal for customers who are willing to put in that extra effort.

Dedicated Hosting

Through dedicated hosting, Suntel leases out pre-configured, high-end equipment and connectivity to customers. With greater flexibility than shared hosting and lesser responsibility than co-located hosting, dedicated hosting allows customers to retain control over their hosting environment. Moreover, customers can also choose their operating system and software and tailor it to suit their needs.

A dedicated hosting solution requires customers to be competent in IT and server administration. It also requires a more significant investment of finances, time and human resources. Compared to the freedom it offers, dedicated hosting no doubt proves to be the most effective solution.

Managed Security Solutions

Suntel provides the customer with some amount of network security management, which may include virus blocking, spam blocking, intrusion detection, firewalls and virtual private network (VPN) management. Suntel will also handle system changes, modifications and upgrades.

Disaster Recovery

Suntel will provide Disaster Recovery facilities through the IDC where the IDC will act as a backup site for the customer in case his primary site is lost. It enables the customer to a business continuance.
